The Wilmslow juniors and mini rugby festival is a very well established and well attended event attracting teams from across the UK and Ireland.

The principle aims of the festival are to have fun; to aid the development of the club and site and to purchase new training equipment when needed. In addition the festival organisers work to ensure that the event is player focused and that means being child focused. With playing age groups that range from U7’s to U12’s, Wilmslow’s festival is a family event and this is recognised by our attendance figures.

On average 2500 players and their families visit the club (over 90 individual teams) for the day; BBQ’s, bouncy castles, bars, sweet stalls and ice cream vans really do create the festival environment. It’s such a successful combination that we know even the weather doesn’t dampen our visitors spirits!

Sponsorship forms a key part of our fund raising activities, companies such as ROK and Lexus have contributed in recent years and this year we are very pleased to announce the involvement of Printerland.co.uk. Printerland.co.uk is an official sponsor of Sale Sharks and as such their commitment goes beyond simple financial contributions, giving the event additional kudos.

Sale Sharks have committed themselves to the event and whilst the full scope of their involvement is to be finalised we hope to see age group victors shaking the hand of one of their heros!

Local businesses contribute through programme advertising ensuring that the event also remains community based and this in supported by local press and radio coverage.

Wilmslow Festival strives to improve its visitor experience every year, to provide a safe enjoyable atmosphere where both children and rugby are the focus. With a team of dedicated volunteers we are confident that the Festival will be a day to remember.
