UNDER 10’S KIT REQUIREMENTS

Gum Shields are compulsory for contact rugby

These are available through the club shop and there will be a moulded gum shield service available for both weeks of registration. We also found a good selection at Monkhouse in Cheadle.

Boots

Boots need to be metal or moulded studs – not blades. This is an RFU ruling to reduce risk of injury to the player and others

Body Armour

This is optional at all levels, but offers great protection for shoulders, collar bones and the chest area. Most sports shops that sell children’s sports gear carry a selection. Decathlon have a good range at very reasonable prices

Scrum Caps

Again these are optional and offer head protection. Availability is the same as body armour.
