Club founded and its first game, probably at Hough Lane, was against Woodlands, a Manchester team.

Club re-forms with 41 players, including several who were involved in the original Club. Land for a new pitch was rented at Lane Lane, near the Railway goods yard, for £17.10s a year and the Railway Hotel became the headquarters. The first game was against Kersal and, regrettably, Wilmslow lost by seven tries to one.
